FBI Ten Most Wanted 2011

Fox TV has announced it is cancelling the show and will replace it with reruns and make four, two-hour specials, but it will no longer be a regular fixture on the network.
The show is hosted by John Walsh. Mr. Walsh suffered a terrible personal tragedy, with the gruesome murder of his son Adam, more than 20 years ago. His killer was never brought to justice for the crime but instead of moping around Walsh used his story to connect to other victims of crime.Although it has long been suspected that serial killer Otis Toole was responsible.

The show won over initial skeptics when, four days after its very first episode, one of the FBI’s 10 most wanted criminals, David James Roberts, was captured after a tip-off.

Roberts was a convicted killer who had escaped from prison by digging his way out with a small axe.

By the time the 1,000th episode of the show was aired live from the White House last year, with a guest appearance from Barack Obama, the show had racked up well over 1,000 captured criminals.
Echoing other law enforcement officers, Daytona Beach Police Chief Mike Chitwood who was helped only last week by the show told Daytona News Journal: "That's a shocker.
"Everybody knows what a big help this is to law enforcement. There's no other show like it."
